What is iCloud Keychain and How To Use it

If you’re unfamiliar with iCloud Keychain, it’s a way to store all of your logins, passwords, credit card details and personal information across all of your iOS devices.

It seems like we need some kind of password or login for every website we visit. If you’re trying to stay secure you probably have loads of passwords and if you don’t have unique passwords and are using the same ones for every site you’re taking a big risk.

iCloud Keychain makes it possible to create and save all of your password and login information, as well as store credit card details and personal information, like a home address and phone number, so you can quickly add them to fill-in-forms without having to type in all the information every time.

If you don’t know this already, you should NEVER use the same password for more than one website and trying to remember all those passwords is maddening. This means you might have dozens or in my case hundreds of passwords across off of your accounts. Creating a unique password for each site can be difficult, let iCloud Keychain create them for you.

1. Launch Safari from your iPhone or iPad.

2. Navigate to the website you want to create a Login.

3. Select the Password field of the account creation form.

4. Tap Suggest Password lower left corner above the keyboard.

5. When the randomly suggested password appears, tap Use Suggested Password.
